Mourning Sunshine I

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Yesterday two friends and dancers, Alicia Grant and Cara Spooner, performed their site-unspecific piece randomly around York University. I got to photograph it. Just as interesting as watching them dance was watching people's reactions. Feb '06

Aw, that looks neat. Is that them getting ready to go outside to do it, or is it part of the piece?

I want to watch this piece live through those huge windows on the right. I love the line-shadows. Great shots!

Kara - yes it'd be great to see it from there, but the fact that it's in the 2nd floor would make it difficult and dangerous. =) Are you from Toronto?

Just curious when and if this piece will be performed as part of a live show?

Larry - the piece will be performed throughout the York campus and Toronto downtown at various sites, all containing just one element = a bench. It's more random performance than planned show/theater perfromance. If I know of a time and date I'll let you know. Send me your email.
