Lusje's Lusje

This is my little sister Lusje. She always has that sweet sparkle in her eyes but also a little melancholy too, which is why I love taking photos of her. Lusje means little light in Dutch. June '06

Night Porch

The porch at our hostel in San Ignacio, Belize. We passes through Belize when we were coming from Yucatan, Mexico and going to Tikal, Guatemala. It is supposed to be a safer route than our planned San Cristobal, Mexico to Antigua, Guatemala. This hostel was cheap but had paper thin walls and noisy neighbors. Not too recommended. July '06

Shoes For Sale

I lost my shoes while in Guatemala, so when we were decided to climb the Pacaya Volcano, Maja and I set out on a hunt for cheap shoes. I found a good pair in this market in Antigua. June '06

Loteria de Peten

This is a shot from Flores in Guatemala's north-eastern province of Peten. We stayed there for two nights and from here travelled to the pyramids of Tikal. I have my new MacBook but I haven't moved all my files and photos. Today, though, I did move my music. So far the computer has brought nothing but good surprises. July '06

Opa's Ikonta

Julia again with a Camera except this time it's with my Opa's old IKonta 521/16. I've had it for about a year and have tried taking a roll of photos with it, many didn' turn out but some did, which gives hope for future rolls. the only problem is the approximate $30 per roll expense. Either way I am very happy to play with it. I also got a new MacBook and I am thrilled! It is so beautiful...Aug '06

The Cathedral Sketched

This is the last shot from this sweet man. He was sitting that day near the most famous and oldest plaza in Old Havana. In the back you can see the Cathedral, dating back to the 18th century. April '06

Pen & Paper

Ronaldo explained that he loves to draw, he usually depicts scenes from Havana's streets. He uses his set of colourful markers that a traveler had given him. He doesn't try to sell, he just draws as his hobby though sometimes people buy his sketches. That day I had with me a pastry with guava inside so I gave it to him and he gave me one of his sketches. It was very sweet. April '06
