Two Walking Home

These two boys were on their way home from school. It was taken in the old part of Havana, some of it has been restored and some remains in relative ruins, which gives it a surreal post-war like feeling. I loved navigating through the little streets full of movement and life. April ´06

Mid-Night Domino

After three weeks in Havana, I am back to where I was in December, Mexico City. I have yet to upload my Cuban pictures, so for the mean time more Mexico ones. This one was taken in Apan during a night of family domino. I apear in it, second from the left, since I set the timer. Winter ´05

I am off tomorrow on a four month long trip. As always I still haven't packed. It's been busy with finishing school and getting the things I need for my travels. The tentative dates and places so far are:

June 24th, 06 - Southern Mexico

July 2nd, 06 - Guatemala & Belize

July 9th, 06 - Honduras & Nicaragua

July 14th, 06 - Costa Rica

August 14th, 06 - Back to Canada...

Snow Berries

This is a photo from the first snow fall back in November. I always love how snow sets at the beginning of winter on little berries that are hanging on for as long as they can. Just yesterday it was snowing a little bit, just like it usually does one last time in April. I think it is over now. The future looks warmer, for me at least. Winter '05

The Cheese Shop

On a cold winter's day, Maja and I went down to the Kensington Market. They have the most stinky cheese shops with the most delicious cheese. My favourite: Munster! Winter '06

Juggle

My cousin Wim recently started to juggle. He used to travel with a game-boy but now all he needs are his pins and some open space. We were on our way to Apan when we stopped to eat at a road side restaurant, with a playground. It was in the middle of yellow farming fields and rounded mountains. Winter '05
