Blue & Yellow Concrete

From the town of the 1001 cats and dogs, Tortuguero, I bring you this kitty. She lived by the cabins wehre we stayed, adn we think she was pregnant. This photo is a shot from her back. Aug '06

NOTE: I love when you can see the underneath layers of paint in walls and concrete, it's as if the past is making it's come back, bursting through the weaker top layers of paint. Often the colours are contrasting but go so well together.

Birthday Boy

Getting back in to the new routine has been hard and days seem to go by at lightning speed, which is why I haven't posted in a while. This is actually a photo from Adrian's (my step-brother) birthday last spring. March '06

Tu Kola

While in Cuba we thought it was the funniest thing this cola-soft drink called "Tu Kola" which could be translated to "Your Butt". This is Liz, one of the girls from Mexico taking the two week course. April '06

Anarchist Free University

Yesterday was the first day of classes at the Anarchist Free University. I heard about it through the photo editor of my university's newspaper, they needed someone to take some photos for an article. The concept is facinating, basically they offer free courses, where the "teachers" and the "students" have an opportunity to share and learn. Yesterday's started a 12-week course on Latin American Politics, which I will continue to attend along with Maja. Jan '07

Laundromat

I am back from an incredible week in Montreal. I have come back wiser but quite poor. It's time to find money again. I shall continue to post more often now. This is Julia again but in another setting, a small laudromat on Queen Street West, Toronto. Dec '06
