Here's another shot similar to the previous one. I've survived one of the busiest weeks of my life, filled with exams, papers, rehearsals and my translating work. Thankfully now I have about a month before exams start again. Aug '06

Jackson in Cahuita

I loved this little girls pin, she was sitting with her friend at the bus stop in Cahuita (on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica) just as my friend Maja and I were waiting for our bus to go back to the capital. I debated in my brain whether to get my camera or not. I'm glad I did, and I think she liked posing too. Aug '06

Window Seat

This is another photo from the inside of the Havana car when I got a ride from the airport to the city back in April. This was taken when we were at the police station because the driver was charged a fine ($2) for driving me and Sophia, the Canadian girl married with a Cuban. In Cuba you have to have a special permit to have tourists in your car, even if they are married to your best friend. Ridiculous. April '06
